The Mini Nutritional Assessment\u00ae (MNA\u00ae) was developed to detect existing malnutrition or the risk of malnutrition in elderly patients > 65 years. The screening can be performed on an outpatient or inpatient basis. The implementation of the MNA\u00ae is recommended by the \u00abEuropean Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism\u00bb (ESPEN) for elderly patients <a href=\"#mna-cite-note-1\">[1]<\/a>.<\/p>\n
